Rickey Taylor

Rickey Taylor, 63, of Dayton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024. He was born on October 30, 1961, to Harvey and Adith Taylor, who preceded him in death.

Rickey was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Paul and Jackie Taylor, his sister Joyce Massey, and his grandson Justin Willis. He is survived by his children, Melissa (James) Willis and Rickey Taylor; sisters, Francis Smith, Kay Hammonds, Charlene Denton (Tracey), and Jerry Taylor; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory.

Rickey was an easygoing and friendly soul who never met a stranger. He was known for his love of fishing, a passion he talked about often, and for his ever-present affection for his family. His collection of lawnmowers was a point of pride, and he enjoyed working on them in his spare time. Rickey’s infectious personality and warm heart left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with a chapel service immediately following at 2:00 PM. Gary Toomey will be officiating. The burial for Rickey Taylor will take place at Gravett Cemetery.
