Robert Lawson Obituary

Robert Junior (Buddy) Lawson, 78, passed away August 6, 2020 at his home in Dayton, TN.

He was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from Combustion Engineering in Chattanooga after many years as a boilermaker. He loved working on cars, liked building houses and made furniture as a hobby.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Hughes Lawson and brothers, Jim, David and Billy Ray Lawson.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Lawson of Dayton, TN; daughters, Deborah (David) Smith, Sandra Lawson both of Dayton, TN and Terri Thomas of Spring City, TN; sister, Judy Lawson of Dayton, TN; grandchildren, Samantha Bache, Stephanie Smith, Nicholas Thomas, Sarah Thomas and Kailey Cook and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Von Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Rhea Memory Gardens.
