Robert Glenn (JR) Ramsey

On May 11, 2021 our family lost one of the greatest men we ever knew. Robert Ramsey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Reformed Church in Dayton.   He loved anything technology related, his x-box, fishing and talking to his family and co-workers about God. Robert was a navigator, mentor and role model for his family, and was always trying to point them towards the Lord. For the past 15 years Robert worked as a computer engineer at NCITE where he was a loyal and faithful employee.  

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; Robert Ramsey Sr. and Wanda Sue Ramsey, two nieces; Renee Ramsey and Alexandria Stoker and great niece Lilly Vining.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years; Shelia Smith Ramsey, children; Ashley Smith (Josh) of Graysville, Hollie Williams (Nathan) of Graysville, Phylicia Ellis (Dustin) of Rossville, GA, Robby Ramsey (Tiffany) Lookout Mtn, GA, and Josh Parrott of Dayton, Siblings; Judy Morgan, Jason Ramsey, Melody Ramsey, Ruth Venable, Jessica Morris, and John Ramsey; Ten grandchildren; Lexi, Aliya, Izzy, Lundyn, Addy, Noah, McKenna, Liam, Bobby, and Jaxson and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Sunday May 16, 2021 in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home at 4 PM with Pastor Timothy Wilkey officiating.

Family will receive friends Sunday May 16, 2021 from 12-4 PM at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.
