Robert “Bob” Boofer, age 80, of Evensville, Tennessee, passed away at his home on August 1, 2025. He was born in Spring City, Tennessee, on October 29, 1944, to Perry Wayne and Mary Leota Boofer.
Bob was of the Baptist faith and a lifelong resident of the Evensville area. He proudly served in the United States Navy. A skilled carpenter by trade, he worked in the construction industry and was a member of Carpenters Local 74.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda Boofer; a great-grandson, Hudson Boofer; and two sisters, Dorothy Harrison and Sarah Lillian Gunter.
He is survived by his sons, Charles Wayne (Elizabeth) Boofer and James Robert (Tammy Kinser) Boofer; grandchildren Mickel Boofer, Erin (Justin) Wright, Ridge (Kailee) Boofer, Demi (Jordan) Gregory, Logan Boofer, and Jameson Arnold; and great-grandchildren Kyler Boofer, Emersyn Boofer, Wesson Wright, Bronx Wright, Harper Gregory, and Berkleigh Boofer. He is also survived by his brother, Tommie (Joyce) Boofer; sister, Elsie Harris; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Rothwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
Burial will be with Military Honors where he will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Add Smith Cemetery.
