Robert "Bobby" Taylor Obituary

Robert L. “Bobby” Taylor, 63 of Dayton Mountain, TN passed away Saturday, August 04, 2018 at Erlanger, Bledsoe.

Bobby was a lifelong resident of Dayton Mountain and an active member of Summer City Church of God.  He graduated from Rhea Central High School in 1973.  Bobby was a long-haul truck drive for McKee Bakery in Ooltewah for 17 years and a cattle farmer after leaving McKee Bakery.

He is preceded in death by his dear grandparents, C.Z. and Vola Taylor and John and Lela Snider.

He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Virginia Taylor; very special daughter, Addison; stepdaughter, Delta Bentley; parents, Robert and Leona Taylor of Dayton Mountain; 3 sisters, Velma Matherly of Crossville, TN, Kim (Ricky) Burnette and Rhonda Taylor of Cleveland, TN; 2 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be held Wednesday, August 08, 2018, 1:00pm in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Freddy Marler officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 07, 2018 5:00-8:00pm and Wednesday, August 08, 2018 11:00am-1:00pm.

Interment will be in Rigsby Cemetery.  

Honorary Pallbearers will be the farmers of Dayton Mountain.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Rhea County Academy in his memory.
