Obituary

Ronald Merrill, 76, of Dayton, Tennessee passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023.

He has been a resident of Dayton, Tennessee since 2007, having moved here from Winterhaven, Florida. He was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church. He was retired from IBM and a member of the  Quarter Century Club at IBM. He loved to fish and was an avid hunter. He and his wife enjoyed traveling together. He was a faithful Christian who served the Lord through various ministries, including prison ministry and nursing home visitation. He was a friend to many including, Dave and Martha Kirby, Bill Aswad, and Harold Croft.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Mary  and Clair Merrill and a brother.

He is survived by his wife, Becca Merrill of Dayton, Tennessee; their two daughters, Donna (Jamie) Striley of Owego, New York and Shelley (Jim Pfiffer) MacPherson of Elmira, New York; and four grandchildren and two great grandchidren - all of whom he loved so much.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Reverend Carter Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Westminister Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 12 PM until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations are to be made to St. Jude's Hospital or Westminister Presbyterian Church.
