Ronnie J.W. Scroggins

Ronnie J.W. Scroggins, age 63, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 at his home in Dayton.  He was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and of the Baptist Faith.  Ronnie enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; Robert E. and Lizzie Marie Phipps Scroggins,  sons; Tommy Dewayne and Robert J.W. Scroggins, brother; Robert Ewell Scroggins, sisters; Brenda Evitt, Barbara Roddy, Joy Lou Garren, Rhonda Faye Dawson and Patty Keltch.

Ronnie is survived by his wife; Shirley Scroggins, children; Jerry Joseph Scroggins, Skyler Jay Scroggins, Tyler Ray Scroggins, Lizzie LaCole Scroggins and Rebecca Jane Scroggins, sister; Mattie Diane (Bobby) Johnson, two grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews, all of Dayton. 

 Funeral service for Ronnie will be on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Reverend Aaron Revis officiating.  The family will receive friends from noon until the start of the service.  Interment will follow at Spence Cemetery.
