Rosalee McClure Arnold, 84, of Dayton, passed away at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga on Friday May 5, 2023. She was a life long resident of Rhea County and was of the Baptist faith. She attended New Union Baptist Church. She loved arts and crafts, playing games, painting and flowers, but most of all Rosalee loved and cherished her children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all those who loved her the most.
She is preceded in death by her first husband; Otis C. Gurley, second husband; Charles V. Arnold, son; Otis Wesley Gurley and 8 siblings.
Rosalee is survived by her 5 children who loved her dearly; Jerry Lee Gurley (Shelly) Tammy Arnold, Clarissa (John) Ives, Sabrina (David) Sneed, and Charles “Chuckie” Arnold all of Dayton, Sister; Vicki Napier (Gerald) of Knoxville, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Monday May 8, 2023 at 1PM at New Union Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Ruehling, and Rev. Jeremy Deal officiating. She will lie in state from 12-1 pm. Visitation will be held at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home on Sunday May 7, 2023 from 4-8PM.
Interment will be at Buttram Cemetery.
