Rosalee (Mickel) Hawkins

Ms. Rosalee Hawkins, 86, of Dayton, TN passed away at her residence January 22, 2023. Rosalee was of the Methodist faith, a member of the Vine Grove Methodist Church and the women’s auxiliary of the American Legion. She was a life-long resident of Dayton and a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.

Rosalee was preceded in death by her husband, RC “Bo” Hawkins; parents, Jess and Nola Mickel; son, Mike Hawkins; granddaughter, Melissa Brackett; sisters, Naomi Tipton and baby sister, Maxine Mickel; and brothers, Johnny, Junior, and Melvin Mickel.

Ms. Hawkins is survived by her three children, Teresa (Teddy) Byrd, Amy Hawkins, and Robert (Becky) Hawkins; one sister, Margaret Yearwood of Dayton, TN; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home Tuesday, January 24 at 2PM with Richard Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow at Rhea Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon until service time.
