Samuel Franklin (Frank) Moore, 87, entered his heavenly home on Monday morning, September 25, 2023.
He was born in Swan Pond, Tennessee and was a 1955 graduate of Rhea Central High School in Dayton. Frank was a longtime resident of the Dayton area and retired from Combustion Engineering with more than 38 years of service and then consulted in Indonesia for more than 3 years. He was an active member of Garrison Baptist Church for more than 50 years.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie H. and Goldie W. Moore; his loving wife of 65 years, Peggy Sue Moore; siblings, Frances Hyder, Gertrude Swann, Ruth Rawlings, Carl Moore, Dickie Moore, Garland Moore, Irene Mayton, and Louise Shipley; and one grandson, Ryan Hubner.
He is survived by two sons, Tim (Sheilia) Moore of Bonita Springs, FL, and Tony (Virginia) Moore, of Dayton, TN; siblings, Betsy (Billie) Brooks of Jacksonville, FL and William Howard (June) Moore of Laramie, WY; three grandchildren, Curtis Moore, Denita (Kelly) Mickel, and Christy (Jeff) Hancock; eleven great-grandchildren, Ally Moore, Preston Moore, Jordon Brown, Emileigh Brown, Kole Mickel, Jacob Hixson, Ava Hancock, RJ Hubner, Max Hubner, Remi Hubner, and Maddalyn Hubner; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Mike Breeden officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow at Rhea Memory Gardens.
