SHIRLEY MARIE (McDANIEL) CLAYTON

Shirley Marie Clayton, age 71, passed away at her home on May 14, 2024. She was born December 20, 1952 to Stewart and Sally (Ritchey) McDaniel in Dayton, TN. She was a lifelong resident and a member of Garrison Baptist Church. She was a great wife, loved people and kids, especially the Special Ed children, she loved her church family and her neighbors. She was a good Christian woman.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Stewart and Sally McDaniel; and brothers, Jimmy and George McDaniel.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Ronnie “Shorty” Clayton; sisters, Connie McVay and Cathy Burdett; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 16, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton, TN. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM in the Chapel, with Dr. Mike Breeden officiating. Burial will be at Rhea Memory Gardens.
