Sammy Williams Obituary

Sammy Ray “Bull” Williams, age 59, passed away on August 25, 2025, in Rhea, Tennessee. Born on December 6, 1965, in Rhea, Tennessee, Sammy remained a proud member of his hometown community throughout his life.

Sammy was known to many as “Bull,” a nickname that reflected both his strong presence and the affection with which he was regarded by those around him. He was a sweet and kind man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially time spent with family and the open road beneath two wheels.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Denise L. Williams; his daughter Carman D. Kiest and her husband Robert; his son Joshua R. Williams and Joshua’s fiancée Bianca; and his daughter Sabrina N. Williams. His brothers include Leroy Williams (Glenna),Wayne Williams (Tina) and sisters Dorothy Williams and Beverly Williams. Sammy’s legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Natalie Williams (Layne), Ethan Williams (Katie), Destiny Williams, Makayla Williams, Tanner Turner (Ariana), and Bryson Kiest (Alex). He also leaves behind six beloved great-grandchildren: Romeo Turner, Carter Creasman, Easton Kiest, Rylee Leathers, Rustyn Williams, and Samuel Turner.

Sammy was preceded in death by his father Elmer Leroy Williams, his mother Nola H. Williams, and his brother Michael B. Williams.

A man who deeply loved riding motorcycles with friends, Sammy found freedom and camaraderie on the road. When not riding, he could often be found surrounded by family—laughing with loved ones or doting on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His joy came from spoiling them every chance he got.

Sammy Ray “Bull” Williams will be remembered for the warmth he brought into every room and the love he gave so freely to those closest to him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Funeral will be held on August 30, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home 1670 market street. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
