Shirley (Marler) Buhrmann

Mrs. Shirley Buhrmann, born Shirley Mae Marler March 7, 1936, to Virgil and Maybelle Miller Marler in Graysville, TN, passed away at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN August 3, 2024 with her husband and family by her side. Shirley was of the Methodist faith, a veteran of the Airforce, and a member of the American Legion Post 100. She loved bowling. She went to state and national tournaments on a regular basis and placed third in the nationals one year.

Mrs. Buhrmann is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Maybelle Marler. She is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, Rolland Buhrmann; three sons, Ricky Lee (Laurie) Buhrmann of Hixson, TN, David Eric Buhrmann of Turlock, CA, and Michael Alan (Ronda) Buhrmann of Rice Lake, WI; three sisters, Linda Hall of Dayton, TN, Patsy Bean of Rossville, GA, and Billie Havens of Cave City, AK; one brother, Virgil Reece Marler of Hixson, TN; eleven grandchildren, Dayna, Misty, Jon, Grayson, Kristen, Eric, David, Alyssa, Kayla, Nicole, Carly, and Christian; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 2PM with Pastor Pat McKenna officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the funeral home
