Stella C. Oldham of Dayton, TN, passed away at her residence surrounded by loved ones on September 4, 2021. Stella was the daughter of the late Dr. Clements of Chattanooga and the late Gladys Dean Gann of Dayton, TN. Stella attended Red Bank High School. She went straight from high school to her first and only job for the phone company - South Central Bell, AT&T, and Bell South. She retired after 30 years. Stella loved to be outside working alongside of her husband of 50 years. She attended Cranmore Cove Baptist Church, read her bible faithfully and trusted her heart to God, knowing He would take her home one day.
Stella is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Clements and Gladys Dean Gann; her husband of 50 years, James Oldham; sister, Laura Dean Salmon; grandmother Stuart; son, Phillip Oldham; grandson Michael Oldham; and mother Betty Sue Davis.
Stella is survived by daughter, Linda (Chuck) Cushman of Spring City; son, Jerry (Susan) Oldham of Dayton; daughter, Freda Oldham of Pikeville; sister, Diane Vincent of Soddy Daisy; sister, Gail (Robert) Hart of Hixson; brother, Kenneth (Hasmig) Davis of York, PA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, special friends, and family.
The Funeral Service will be September 10, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Schafer officiating. Burial will be in Cove cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday September 9, 2021 from 4PM – 8PM at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton, TN.
