Thelma Lee Housley of Dayton, TN passed away December 31, 2020 a Life Care Center of Rhea County.
Thelma was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and was retired as a clerk from Spring City Pharmacy. She was a member of the Spring City First Baptist Church where she was very active in the church, and was also a member of the O.E.S. Chapter #209 in Spring City, since July 20, 1964.
Thelma was preceded by her husband James Housley; parents John and Cornia Thurman McClure, Sr; brother John McClure, Jr.; two sisters Layton Porter and Josephine Morgan; Niece Gail Porter Rollins; two nephews Glen Porter and Whitney Morgan.
She is survived by son James Michael "Mike" (Kathy) Housley of Shelbyville, KY. Two sisters Phyllis Payne of Dayton, TN; Jane (Jim deceased) Arthur of Hixson, TN; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she dearly loved.
The family is with deep appreciation to the staff of Life Care of Rhea County for their loving care and kindness.
Funeral services for Thelma will be Monday January 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Milton Knox officiating. Burial will be in the Smith-Wilkey Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday from 12 noon until 2;00 pm at the funeral home.
