Thelma Wonedith Dotson “Nanny” Taylor passed away on Saturday May 14, 2022 at her home. She was 100 years old. Thelma was a life long resident of Rhea County. She attended Morgan Springs Baptist Church in Dayton. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband; Seburn A. Taylor in 1987, siblings; Adith Taylor, Geneva Dotson, Marie Mitchell, Carl Dotson, Orville Dotson, Jack Dotson, and Amos Dotson and grandson Tim Taylor.
She is survived by her children; Wanda (Bob) Morgan and Wallace (Barbara) Taylor, grandchildren; Cary Taylor, Debbie Taylor, John Morgan, Charles Morgan, Step-grandchildren; Stacey Bailey, Angie Robertson and Carla Taylor, great-grandchildren; Clint Morgan, Lauren Presley Morgan, Lindzee Morgan, Deborah Taylor, Gracie Taylor, Bradley Taylor, and C.W. Taylor, 4 great-great grandchildren, several step great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Thelma will be Tuesday May 17, 2022 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Wendell Wooden officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons: John Morgan, Charles Morgan, Clint Morgan, Cary Taylor, Bradley Taylor and C.W. Taylor. The family will receive friends from noon until the start of the service.
Interment will be at Kiuka Rogers Cemetery immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or Shriner’s Hospital.
