Timothy Virl Goins

Timothy Virl Goins, son of John and Shirley Goins went home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2026.

He was a graduate of Rhea County High School.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, grandparents, Bass and Louise Goins, and Floyd Lee and Ruth Burchard Thompson, sister Cathy Olinger, nephew Jamie Goins, brother-in-law Larry Roddy, and sister-in-law Tammy Trantman Goins.

Mr. Goins is survived by his children, Gage ( Erica) Goins, Chase Goins, and Hiram Goins, as well as his grandchildren Landon and Preston Goins.   He is also survived by his sisters Gaynelle Roddy, Deborah (Nick) Welch, Jacqueline (Josh) McCullough and brothers Johnny (Leslie) Goins, Michael Goins, as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Trenton Goins, Gavin McCullough, Josh McCullough, Johnathan Calbaugh, Justin Goins, and Taylor Everett.

Coulter-Garrison Funeral home in Dayton, Tennessee is serving the Goins family.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 8 from 2-4, with a memorial service with  Pastor Kasey Goins officiating at 4 o’clock.  Internment will follow immediately after the service at Spivey Cemetery.  Friends and family members are welcome.
