Obituary
Valerie Lavonne Ezell, 62, of Evensville, passed away on Friday September 15, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a life long resident of Rhea County and of the Baptist faith. She attended Christian Bible Fellowship in Evensville. Valerie enjoyed working puzzle books and always had a Mountain Dew to drink. Throughout her illness her faith in God never wavered and she spent as much time as she could reading the Bible and praying. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was something that Valerie cherished.
She is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Mary Ezell.
Valerie is survived by her children; Jimmy Heath Janow of Spring City, Rodney Ezell and Jackie Janow both of Dayton, siblings; Beverly (Jeff) Swafford of Pikeville and Donnie Ezell of Dayton, grandchildren; Sarah Ezell Elkins, Dylan Ezell, Kendall Hughes, Haylee Hughes, Paxton Dunn, Alissa Hughes and Asher Janow, four great grandchildren and niece Amanda Swafford.
Funeral services will be on Monday, September 18, 2023 at noon in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 1-8 PM and also on Monday from 11 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be at Spring City Memorial Gardens.
