Virginia Agee Obituary

Virginia Inez Agee, 88, passed away May 23, 2021 at her home in Dayton, TN.

Inez was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and attended Mountain View United Methodist Church. She worked at Redford’s Five & Dime in her early years and later became a caregiver. She enjoyed women’s bible study and spending time with her friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Creed and Katie Bell Wilkey Dunn; husbands, Sherman Snyder and Carl Agee; brothers, Edward and Arnold Dunn; sister, Bernice Nichols and son-in-law, Glenn Doss.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Doss; grandsons, Justin Agee, Christopher Doss, Jeremy Doss; sister, Carolyn Iles; brother, Earl (Rosie) Dunn and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Buttram Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 PM.
