Virginia Lee Ferguson, 89, of Dayton passed away peacefully at her home while surrounded by her family on December 26, 2023. Born to William and Erma Thurman April 3, 1934 in Meigs County Tennessee, Virginia loved her Lord and was a faithful member of the Maple Springs Baptist Church. She worked until retirement for Robinson Manufacturing. Devoted to her family, she loved spending time with them and loved unconditionally. She will be missed.
Mrs. Ferguson is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe J. Ferguson; brothers, Odell and Tommy Thurman; sisters, Anna Aslinger and Jane Stultz.
Virgina is survived by two daughters, Joann (Edward) Grun and Annette (David) Crisp, all of Dayton Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Ed (Kelly) Grun, Jenny Winegar, Karla Grun, Jesse (Brandy) Grun, Joe Grun, Matthew (Samantha) Crisp and Denise (Alex) Diegel; and seventeen great-grandchildren, Gavin, Caleb, Camryn, Jailyn, Adisyn, Tyson, Ralea, Lusero, Isa, Florin, Laila, Lilly, Abby, Katy, Nick, Aiden, and Emmaline.
A graveside service will be held at Smith-Wilkey Cemetery December 28, 2023 at 11AM with Pastor Robert Thurman officiating.
