Wanda Joyce Marler, 76, of Dayton, Tennessee was welcomed to her home in glory on Sunday, October 8th at her home surrounded by loved ones and her dogs. She was born in Sale Creek, Tennessee but moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee before eventually settling down to Dayton Mountain. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and Mamaw. She loved homemaking, cooking for loved ones, gardening, loving all animals, and cheering on her great-grandson, Kamdyn Hixson, in all his sports and his academic achievements. She was known for always helping others, her fierce but kind spirit, and her jokes.
Wanda is proceeded in death by her parents, Robert Keith and Pauline Hodge Keith. Four siblings: James and Larry Keith, Betty Miller, and Evelyn Dunn.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Malcolm Marler. Her children Tony Keith, Tina (Tracy) Smith, and Jessica Hixson. Her grandchildren Greg (Amber) Hixson, Kayla (Jimmy) Weyant, Brandi Keith, Melissa Keith & 13 great grandchildren. One sister, Billie Pittman and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 2 PM in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home, with Brother Jimmy Jewell officiating. Interment will follow at Ogden Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday.
