WANDA FAY (DEFORE) WHITE

Wanda Fay Defore White, 72, of Dayton, Tennessee passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.  She was born and lived in Rhea County, and had also lived in Smyrna, GA, and Wingate, TX.  She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Mtn. View. 

She liked doing crafts, loved butterflies and spending time with family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.  Holidays were her favorite time, and she loved to decorate particularly for Thanksgiving and Christmas. 

Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Terry White; her parents, Daniel and Ruby Nichols Defore; her brothers, Jim, Ricky, and Donnie; and sister, Juanita.

She is survived by her sons, James Fields and Richie Fields, both of Texas; four sisters, Rhonda, Ruby, Louise, and Helen; five brothers, Paul, Robert, Dean, Floyd, and Jerry; two grandchildren, Jordan Fields and Jacie Fields-Olvera; two great grandchildren, Kennedy Fields and Mark Olvera; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers will be:  Randy Defore, Cody Defore, Rylan James, Brandon Reed, Tyler Marshal, and Bradley Shipley. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 11 AM at Faith Baptist Church located at 259 Old Graysville Road, Dayton, TN, with Pastor Stanley Faulkner officiating.  Interment will follow at Burchard Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.
