Wayne Scott Liston

Wayne Liston, 80, of Dayton, TN passed away on December 15, 2024, in Spring City, TN.

Born on May 10, 1944, in Martins Ferry, OH. Wayne was a dedicated and hardworking man. He worked as a coal miner for most of his life, followed by three years of service as a bus driver for the Union Local School District. Wayne had a passion for life on the farm, raising cows and horses. He also enjoyed fishing and working in his shop, where his hobby in small engine repairs flourished.

Wayne was a private individual, but he was deeply devoted to his family. He cherished his role as a father and was especially close to his favorite daughter and only child, Ellen Padilla.

Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Liston (Roth), and his parents, Gomer and Ella Louise Liston. He is survived by his daughter, Ellen Padilla (Tarry), his sister Carol Grandstaff, his grandson Dustin Padilla, and five nieces and nephews.

Wayne will be lovingly remembered and missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
