William Shuman Obituary

William Shuman, 72, of Evensville, TN passed away February 27, 2019 at Sweetwater Nursing Center in Sweetwater, TN.

William moved to Rhea County from Frostproof, FL in 2003. He was a member of Freedom Tabernacle in Evensville and a veteran of the US Army. He wrote gospel music and poems and enjoyed drawing and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Geraldine Tice Shuman and one brother, Robert Faircloth.

He is survived by his children, Vivian Shuman of Evensville, TN, William Robert (Laura) Shuman of Lithia, FL, Stephanie (James) Smith of Frostproof, FL; brother, Cecil Teasley of Frostproof, Fl; sisters, Eulamae Carden of Lake Walls, FL, Barbara Ann Bloxen of Jacksonville, FL, Grace Sroehlich of Lakewalls, FL; grandchildren, Dustin, Bradley, Adam and Craig Wilson, Darrand Shuman, Kellie Forbes, Zaylin Lemman; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Sweetwater Nursing Home and Avalon Hospice.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 06, 2019 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Service with Pastor Mike Crawley officiating.

Interment will be Thursday, March 07, 2019 at 11:00am at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
