William "Bill" Wilson, Jr., age 79, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at his residence in Cleveland, TN. Bill was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. His kindness, compassion, and willingness to help others were known to all who knew him. No matter the circumstance, he would show up when called, whether he was feeling well or not. Bill was a man of great character, and his absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and community.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of many years, Debra Kaylor Wilson; his children, Ronnie (Sandy) Barnes, Lisa (Gilbert) Scott, and Mary Ann Tapley; his siblings, Evonne (Charles) Orr, Mary (Ralph) Hudgins, Susan Melton, and Jerry (Connie) Wilson; along with six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Wilson and Emmiesue Fisher, and his brother, Roger Wilson.
Bill will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and his role as a caring husband and great brother-in-law. He was a man of integrity and love, and his memory will live on through the lives he touched.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at Dayton City Cemetery, with Rev. Stanley Faulkner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Bill's memory to a charity of your choice.
Bill’s memory will forever live in the hearts of those who loved him. He was a good man, and he will be missed dearly.
