Zelma Olene Ricketts Grun, 88, of Dayton, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2023, at Rhea Medical Center in Dayton, Tennessee. She was a member of the New Union Baptist Church.
She was a very good Mother, caring and kind, who never met a stranger. She was always happy to help those in need. Most important of all, she was a devoted Christian. She will be missed deeply.
Zelma is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Lula Kennedy Ricketts; husband, Edward Victor Grun, Sr.; son, Russell Grun; brother, Wilson Ricketts, and sister, Alta Warden.
She is survived by her children, Edward Grun, of Dayton, TN; Bill Grun of Dayton, TN; Jimmy Grun, of Lebanon, TN; and Edna Grun, of Hartselle, AL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Smith-Wilkey Cemetery with Dr. Danny Ruehling officiating.
